NDVI clipping · forest density classification · class-wise area (User Manual)

Designed & developed by Dr. Panda

NDVI source

NDVI is fetched live from Sentinel-2 (Copernicus Data Space, free), computed and cropped to your boundary on the server — no local raster file is read, so this stays fast regardless of area size. Go to Step 2: upload your KML boundary, then click "Fetch live Sentinel-2 NDVI".

Waiting for a boundary — see Step 2.

Boundary & clipping

The polygon boundary in your KML clips the NDVI. Upload a new KML any time to re-clip a different area of interest.

Choose KML boundary (.kml)

Upload a KML polygon boundary to begin.

Clip to boundary?

"Full raster" classifies the entire NDVI image. A KML is optional in that mode — upload one only if you want its outline drawn for reference.

Density classes

Number of classes

Breaks follow the Forest Survey of India convention by default (open / moderately dense / very dense). Edit thresholds or colors, then reprocess. (See page 7 of the User Manual)
